Since its inception in 1987, the celebration serves as a reminder of the contributions of some of the most ground-breaking women in our country's history.

Overview of statistics of women in business:
- 42% of all businesses in the U.S. are women-owned.
- Women-led businesses employ 9.4M workers and generate $1.9T in revenues annually.
- States with the most women-owned employer firms are Hawaii, Virginia, and Colorado.
- Over 1,800 new women-owned businesses are created each day in the U.S.
- 1 in 3 female entrepreneurs has experienced sexism as a business owner.
- The top priority of women-owned businesses is to get more funding and financial help.
- The average loan size for women-owned firms is 50% lower than for male-owned.
- Only 2.4% of venture capital funding goes to female founders in the U.S.
- 31% of women business owners have school-aged children at home.

Grant Funding Opportunities
Idaho Commerce is accepting applications for the Idaho Gem Grant now.
Eligible applicants are limited to city and county governments. The project must be in a city with a population of no more than 10,000 or an unincorporated community.
The application deadline is March 20.
Grant Funding Opportunity
Calling all small towns with populations fewer than 50,000! The next round of the
T-Mobile Hometown Grant program is now open.
Brought to you in partnership with Main Street America and Smart Growth America, the T-Mobile Hometown Grant program provides grants of up to $50,000 to help build stronger, more prosperous small towns and rural communities!
Since the program's start, T-Mobile has given more than $6.6 million dollars to kickstart over 150 community development projects, including the latest winning recipients.
Towns with 50,000 people or less can apply for a grant of up to $50K to fund projects to build, rebuild, or refresh community spaces that help foster local connections in your community. For example, you could implement tech upgrades at your library, refresh a local park, or break ground on a new place where neighbors can connect.
Need more time to submit your application? The next round of funding opens April 1, 2023 with a deadline of June 30, 2023.
The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy contributes to effective economic development by utilizing a locally-based, regionally driven economic development planning process. Our regional plan is strategy-driven and will enable Frontier in creating an economic roadmap to diversify and strengthen our regional economy.
The Frontier CEDS analyzes the regional economy, addresses regional economic problems, and serves as a guide for establishing regional goals and objectives.
